-Physical conditions such as pain, sleep disorders, stress, etc.
Acupuncture protocals are chosen after careful observation and intake of the patient including pulse & tongue diagnosis. The diagnosis decides what points will be used within the treatment.
Acupuncture protocals are administered by using high quality surgical stainless steel, SEIRIN® needles that are machine sharpened and polished. This results in a painless and smooth insertion, which benefits both patient and practitioner. Needles are not necessarily used in every treatment as acupuncture point protocals can also be administerd via acupressure, Acutonics, Aroma Acupoint therapy (AAT), Floral Acupuncture and Mineral medicine.
I started learning about flower essences over a decade ago from teacher & friend, Myla St Crispin founder of Hall of Spells. Myla's system teaches a deep reverance for the natural world wherein individual knowledge of the many uses of flower & plant allies can begin to emerge. It is from this base that I work with flower remedies & continue my practice with mentor, Lorie Eve Dechar L.Ac. I have also studied with both founders of the Flower Essence Society, Richard Katz + Patricia Kaminski.
Floral Acupuncture & Mineral Medicine
Both flower essences and minerals are often used on specific acupuncture points and meridians. These tools can also be used in accordance with traditional energetic systems.
While flowers tend to emotional and spiritual issues, minerals treat these as well as a wide range of addititonal disharmonies.
I use tuning forks, hand chimes, singing bowls and voice to create custom sound perscriptions for clients. I can create remedies from in-person sessions and also through tele-sessions.
Acutonics has been the basis of my formal training in sound healing and their work and sound tools are used in my practie.
Acutonics is a non-invasive healing approach using sound harmonics and therapeutic resonance to create healing and homestasis in the body. The use of tuning forks on specific acupuncture points has the ability to bring about profound healing and is a wonderful alternative for children and elderly.
The appraoch was co-founded by Donna Carey L.Ac. and Marjorie de Muynck, M.Mus.,MSOM, Hon. In additon Ellen F. Franklin, PhD has continued to develop the system.
I have studied essential oils within a wide range of uses from perfumery to energetics for over a decade. My teachers have included:
-Myla St Crispin (botanical perfumer/healer)
-Persephenie (aromatics teacher/artist)
-Jeanne Rose (the “grandmother" of essential oils)
-David Crow (Floracopeia founder)
-Peter Holmes L.Ac. (Snow Lotus founder)
-Lorie Eve Dechar L.Ac. (healer/author/scholar)
Essentail Oils are often used in session. Customized essential oil blends are made for patients and are also available upon request.
Gua Sha & Cupping
Gua Sha techniques are mostly used for facial acupuncture. Gently massaging & lifting the facial tissue benefits the whole look of the face & skin tone. These techniques are combined with facial acupuncture treatments.
Cupping is a technique that is ususally offered after the acupuncture needles are removed. However, cupping can be applied on it's own or combined with massage. Cupping is applied to the back in most cases & offers deep relaxation & release to tight muscles.
